In which Snoop Dogg doesn’t give a fuck about your gender policing, and 50 Cent continues to be way too concerned about the sexuality of other male rappers.
50 Cent is so extra for someone who is merely a footnote in rap culture these days
The HPV Vaccine, and Why Your Kids Should Get It: Healthcare Triage #4
Human Papillomaviruses (HPV) are the cause of genital warts, and believed to lead to a number of cancers. But there’s a vaccine for HPV that can prevent you from getting infected. This week, Rosianna sends in some questions about the safety and efficacy of the vaccine, based on some emails she’s received. Aaron takes the opportunity to talk about HPV, how the vaccine works, how safe it is, and how misinformation is preventing us from saving lives.

for future watching. anybody have any good links or research for arguments AGAINST the HPV vaccine?
I’m just going to say right here that there is no valid argument to not get the HPV vaccine. HPV can cause genital warts and even cancer so it’s good to protect everyone across the gender spectrum regardless. If you have unprotected oral sex or penetrative sex, even if you are disease free and get regularly tested you still have the chance of getting HPV. There has been an increase of oral, rectal, cervical, and other sexual related cancers and a lot of them have been linked to HPV.
The links include scientific studies as well. The person who is the host is also a pediatrician that has talked about vaccinations before and why avoiding vaccines because of these sensationalized articles and chain e-mails is harmful. The only valid argument is that the creator of the vaccination has said that the manufacturer’s of the immunization of the shot have been over selling it’s cancer protecting properties. She isn’t wrong, but that doesn’t not mean you should not get the HPV vaccine. It just means that we don’t know if it will require a booster, or if it’s life long shot which is why people are monitoring it closely. There has been absolutely no reputable study that has said that the HPV vaccine has been harmful, and there has been no connections to any deaths related to the shot that those chain e-mails and articles might tell you to believe.
If you are interested in looking into the HPV vaccine I really recommend talking to your GP or any sexual health clinic like planned parenthood. If you are under your parents insurance plan see if you are able to get the shot covered as well, or if there are any student discounts. It’s best to get the shot before you become sexually active (it’s why he mentions that children also get the shot as well), but if you have been sexually active already ask your GP anyways. From what I’ve been told you can still get the shot but it might not be as effective. Which is better than not having the shot.
I slept for a whole two hours and now i’m wide awake. I also have a full 8-4 day today and plan on seeing a friend after, plus maybe going to a lab to help my old professor.
y i do dis to myself.
The bargain behemoth’s misstep was first spotted by blog The Ethical Adman, which noticed that the model for the “Xhilaration® Junior’s Midkini 2-Piece Swimsuit -Leopard Print” featured on Target’s website appeared to have a few anatomical discrepancies. (The link now appears to be broken.)
For one thing, the young woman’s arms is bizarrely thinned out and stretches longer than it should. Then there’s the fact that hip also appears to be missing a piece. But by far the most egregious use of the infamous airbrusher is in the woman’s crotch area, where a chunk of the suit is literally chopped out.
Besides being bad practice, the effect of this photoshopping is to give the model what amounts to an artificial “thigh gap.” This extremely problematic phenomenon first garnered media attention last year after eating disorder advocates noted teenage girls were striving for a body weight so low their thighs wouldn’t touch even when they were standing with their feet together.
OK SO I SAW THIS AND I JUST TO SHARE WITH EVERYONE.
OH MY GOD
oh. my god. this dog :3
